My wife used to work in New York many years ago. One time she invited me into the City and as mobs were rushing by in the subway, she stopped and pointed upward. She said, "Above us is the World Trade Center where they do nothing but move paper from one place to another."
Well, apparently the Newburyport Archive Center at the Library better be ready.
Mayor Holaday is moving in the scanners and digitizing the stacks and stacks of documents in the City Hall basement. So where are the originals going you may ask? In the trash? Unfortunately, way too much of that has gone on before. The Mayor is dedicated to historic preservation.
The Archive Center. That is a good thing and a bad thing for them.
Prepare for the tidal wave!
