Stretch it a bit

Councilor Cameron has announced that a meeting is scheduled this Thursday at 6:00 concerning the 51 Bus.
The Councilor would like as many people as possible to come and give some input as to route changes and service issues.
His main suggestion is to have the bus go down the new access road at the hospital instead of going down quiet residential streets.      Nothing like a diesel engine roaring out front to make your day!    The whole reason for the new road is to direct hospital traffic and emergency vehicles toward a safe, direct route to Low Street.      The bus should follow suit.
I won’t be able to make it to the meeting but I do have two suggestions:
One, better posting.     There are no maps and schedule times posted at the many main stops.     I think ridership would jump considerably if people were informed with easily read notices.      Running to the nearest computer sort of defeats the convenience factor.     And the bus drivers obviously have tunnel vision and never notice someone furiously running across the parking lot or down a street trying to catch the bus.      I swear they have blinders on.
Two, I would like to see the bus extended toward the Tannery and Federal Street.      All they have to do is go a little further on Water Street, go up a short distance to Liberty Street and then back on State.      It would not be too much trouble.
Hope as many as are able can come and add some more suggestions.   I realize it is on short notice.
