Of course, we are not out of the woods yet when it comes to the Wind Energy Ordinance and there is always the danger that the Commonwealth in their irrational eagerness to explore alternative energy sources will try to over-ride the citizens of Newburyport’s concerns. The Governor’s crazy drive for 2,000 wind turbines is already going to be felt in the interior of the state. They just approved a 20-turbine wind farm. It will be interesting to see what damage to the environment is caused by their enthusiasm. And if the State House has its way, we may lose all control over these ‘monsters’.
I am very pleased with the Action Plan though the construction industry in town may not be. Can we spell S-T-R-E-T-C-H C-O-D-E?
PS. I have added the Action Plan to the Current Events folder.
