The Best Yankee Homecoming in recent years

It has been historically noted that General Patton ordered a chaplain to prepare a special prayer so his forces could ride successfully to the rescue at the Battle of the Bulge.      I want to know if Don Walters did the same!

Not only were the festivities occurring without a hitch, the weather was absolutely un-New England like.      Other years have seen Yankee Homecoming marred by rain, marred by wind storms, marred by cold weather and just marred by unforeseen events.      This year, sun, sun and sun.    And the attitude of the whole festival was like a factory.     We’ve got work to do having fun and by golly, we’re going to have fun!

Aside from the great weather, the organizational side was quite remarkable.     No wonder we ended up with a wind turbine that doesn’t generate but a fraction of promised electricity and overshadows our historic city; no matter; it was put up. (Yes, Don was the organizational umph for that too!)

Putting him in charge was a great and wise move.      Maybe the historic preservationists can draft him!?!
