Hear the Parable of the Mosquito. It doesn’t matter if you try to enjoy your garden or the lovely gardens all around the City or stroll by the seawall. It seems almost a constant threat of misery to walk our lovely nature trails or to just enjoy the evening air. The little bugs are ready for you.
They have a single purpose and a top priority. The drawing of blood from animals (humans are gladly substituted) so the females can lay larvae and make MORE mosquitoes. Now in this, at first glance, noble pursuit; they have a nasty habit of spreading diseases. If left to their own devices, they soon can become a dangerous health threat.
Now these insects can not be reasoned with. Eradicating them is nearly impossible and ignoring them is risking your own happiness. The best thing is to prevent them affecting YOU and taking what measures that are available on a community or neighborly level to stop them from doing great damage.
Now for the interpretation – ever wonder why I don’t like accepting all comments on my blog? I don’t like someone else using my blog which is designed to promote Newburyport as a Cultural & Heritage Center as a platform for their own priorities, especially as those goals are designed to do damage to our City.
