This sign recognized the Dalton House and its significance in relation to the 300th anniversary (1930) of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Believe it or not, there is actually money set aside by the state to take care of these signs. It’s just a little tough to get it – that’s all. (Paperwork, politicians busy building casinos, sleepy bureaucrats, etc.)
I’m wondering if the City was able to pry the money out of the State’s hands?
If it is true – please ditch that ugly concrete pillar it’s been sitting on while you’re at it!
