Just received this wonderful news!
“Essex County Greenbelt and the Save the Lower Green Committee are thrilled to announce that the Campaign to Protect Newman Farm Meadow reached a successful conclusion this week. Thanks to a larger number of individual contributions received over the last month, along with key grant awards, Greenbelt and Save the Lower Green were able to reach the $500,000 campaign goal before their September 30 deadline.”
I kept imagining this nightmare scenario that all that money was raised but falling far short of the goal.
Sending all the money donated back with a note:
“The historic setting of the Lower Green has been lost forever…never to be seen again in our lifetime.”
Rarely do you see a campaign where your money has the positive affect on our national heritage not just for one moment in time but for our children’s children’s future.
